Current situation at the Dnipro HPP: Ukrhydroenergo continues restoring lost capacityDespite all challenges, the company ensures the sustainable operation of hydroelectric power plants and implements key projects.In this context, the support of EU and our international partners is vital priority and particularly valuable. Representatives of international organizations are not only supporting us but also visits the company’s facilities to personally assess the current situation.A delegation led by H.E. Katarina Mathernová, Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine, Kristina Mikulova, Head of Regional Hub for Eastern Europe of the European Investment Bank, Matias Schmale, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Munir Mammadzade, Head of UNICEF Office in Ukraine and Jaco Cilliers, UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine visited the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant in Zaporizhzhya. They were accompanied by Zaporizhzhya Governor Ivan Fedorov and Iryna Postolovska, Deputy Minister of Social Policy for European Integration. During the visit, the participants familiarized themselves with the consequences of the shelling, discussed the progress of restoration efforts, the company’s current needs, and possible directions for further support. Rebuilding of facilities that has been destroyed by enemy missile attacks will take many years and significant resources.Ukrhydroenergo expresses gratitude to the delegation for visiting specifically this heavily damaged hydroelectric power plant, which is located in close proximity to the combat zone. This step demonstrates exceptional courage and solidarity with Ukraine.
