YouTube Music App Coming to Apple TV and Garmin Watches

A separate icon is planned, along with tight integration with HomePod and possibly an update for Wear OS.

Currently, all features of YouTube Music are available on Android and iOS, as well as in the web version of the service. However, the list of full compatibility will soon be expanded: Google plans to release more apps and integrations for third-party devices. This was reported by the portal 9to5Google.

According to the source, Google will release a separate YouTube Music app for Apple TV, which is expected to provide more direct access to the service (rather than through YouTube). This may also appear on Android TV.

Tighter integration of YouTube Music into the Apple ecosystem could allow the music platform to be used with HomePod to directly launch music using voice commands by naming the app.

Google is also planning to release YouTube Music for Garmin smartwatches. The app will be available for download through the Connect IQ store, which already features Spotify, Deezer, and Amazon Music.

Hopefully, after these changes, YouTube Music will finally update the old apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS. They have also been waiting for their turn for a long time.
