📖 CELPIP Reading Part 3 can feel overwhelming because the texts are long, the vocabulary is harder, and many answers sound “almost correct.”But in reality this is one of my favourite parts on the test. One strategy that helps a lot is changing the way you approach the passage. I scored 12 on Reading, so hopefully this does help.A lot of students try to fully understand the whole text first. That usually wastes a lot of time on translating the new words and full sentences.Instead, try this 👇1️⃣ Review the questions before you start reading to identify potential keywordsThis gives you an idea of what information you’ll need later.2️⃣ Read one paragraph at a time and scan for keywordsAfter each paragraph, quickly note the main idea on the sheet of paper in 1-2 words. 3️⃣ Right after finishing the paragraph, check where it fits with the answersMany students read the entire passage first and then start searching again from the beginning. That doubles the work. Your job is to identify all potential correct answers. One paragraph can easily fit into 2-4 answers. 4️⃣ Don’t focus too much on difficult vocabularyIn Part 3, understanding the overall meaning is usually more important than knowing every single word.5️⃣ Make sure you reserve 1-2 minutes at the endUse this time to check you work. If you feel that some answers aren't a fit - pick option E (Not given in any of the above paragraphs)A small mindset shift can improve your score a lot:You are not reading a novel. You are searching for evidence.Good luck and as always you can get professional CELPIP or IELTS coaching at celpip.pro ✌️
