One of the most underrated CELPIP decisions - choosing your test date 📅 Too early ❌- you’re not ready and waste your money on an attempt. Too late ❌- you might miss a good draw with low CRS scores.A good rule of thumb - book your test when your practice results are not perfect but stable. If all of your four skills are consistently within the target range, it’s time to book 🔥If a low score CRS draw already happened, like recently, I wouldn’t rush to take the test next day. Also think about life load. Full-time work, stress, poor sleep - all of this affects your results more than people expect. A calm week before the test matters. Now, what if you ready, which day and time do you pick? If possible, avoid booking right after a night shift, long travel, or a heavy workday 😴. Speaking and Writing suffer first when you’re tired. Morning sessions usually work better for most people - your focus is higher, pronunciation is clearer, and stress hormones are lower. Late evening tests often come after a full day of work, which affects fluency and attention. Having enough rest is a key, that’s why I prefer test on Sundays. Final tip - don’t book based on availability alone. Book based on when you perform best under pressure 😊
