Today, I held a Staff meeting – focused primarily on technological issues. The stock of air defense systems and missiles for them, the production schedule, the delivery schedule. The protection of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure – above all, the energy sector. The Russians are once again concentrating strikes on our energy facilities. Of course, we have responses to this and will continue to respond, but the main priority is the stability of the system. There were reports on our drone production – their quality and production volumes. I am grateful to all the manufacturers who are ramping up supplies, including long-range weapons. There were also reports from the military today – on the frontline and the supply for our forces. The greatest attention is paid to the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Constant Russian strikes continue against Kherson. Intense active combat also continues in the border areas of the Sumy region. I am grateful to each of our units for their resilience and for destroying the occupier.

Right now, in our cities – Kyiv, Sumy, and other cities and communities – assistance is being provided to the wounded after the Russian strike. The geography of the attacks over the past day includes Kyiv, Sumy, Kremenchuk, Odesa, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporizhzhia. In Kyiv, the rubble is still being cleared – there may still be bodies beneath it. The Cabinet of Ministers building has been damaged. As of now, more than forty people have been reported injured across the country, 20 of them in Kyiv. My condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed. In the capital alone, the air raid alert lasted for more than seven and a half hours. Kyiv was one of the main targets for Russian drones. It is important that today we saw a broad response from our partners to this strike. Clearly, Russia is trying to inflict pain on Ukraine with even more brazen attacks. This is a clear sign that Putin is testing the world – whether they will accept or tolerate this. That is why it is important that the statements of leaders, states, and institutions be backed by strong actions – sanctions against Russia, against individuals associated with Russia, tough tariffs and other restrictions on trade with Russia. Their losses must be felt. That is what is truly convincing. And also – our long-range capabilities. Putin does not want negotiations, he is clearly hiding from them, so Russia’s fuel shortages and other economic troubles are the logical response to its refusal to agree to a ceasefire or a meeting at the leaders’ level.

Увесь день на кількох локаціях у Києві тривали рятувальні роботи – розбирали завали після російського удару. Це був один із найбільших ударів. Було майже 600 дронів, 31 ракета, у тому числі балістичні. Станом на цей час відомо про 19 загиблих у Києві, із них чотири дитини. Мої співчуття всім рідним та близьким. Цей удар чітко демонструє, що російські цілі дійсно не змінилися. Вони хочуть воювати, б’ють не тільки по наших людях, не тільки по наших містах, громадах. Росія зараз завдає ударів по всім у світі, хто прагне миру. Це удар по Україні. Це удар по Європі. Також це удар Росії по Президенту Трампу, по інших глобальних суб’єктах. У Вашингтоні ми чули, що Путін начебто готовий до закінчення війни – до зустрічі на рівні лідерів та вирішення ключових питань. Але він обирає балістику замість будь-яких реальних кроків до миру. Він убиває дітей, щоб не говорити про те, коли і як буде мир. Проблема в тому, що він не боїться ось так бити по тим лідерам, яким він щось обіцяє. Потрібна чітка відповідь світу на це зло. Немає дедлайнів, які б Путін не зірвав. Немає таких дипломатичних можливостей, які не були б зіпсовані через Росію. Потрібні сильні кроки. Дякую всім, хто це розуміє. Потрібні санкції. Потрібні тарифи на тих, хто спонсорує цю війну.

I have just spoken with Olha Stefanishyna, now Ukraine’s new Ambassador to the United States of America. The formal procedures are complete – today I signed the decree appointing her as Ambassador. I outlined the key tasks for reinvigorating the work of our Embassy, and the main thing is to fully implement all the agreements reached in Washington – our agreements with President Trump, above all in the defense sphere. Much of Ukraine’s long-term security depends on relations with America. There are two Ukrainian proposals on the table – strong proposals. These are: an agreement on weapons for Ukraine and an agreement on modern drones for the United States. And we count on swift progress in our relations. I am grateful to Oksana Markarova. Oksana represented Ukraine in Washington throughout all these years of the full-scale war – a very difficult mission. And Ukraine was always heard in the United States. I want to thank her for this work. We have already spoken about further cooperation, and I invited Oksana Markarova to remain part of the team – to continue working for Ukraine.

This war must be brought to an end. Pressure must be exerted on Russia to end the war. Putin understands nothing but force and pressure. Of course, we are doing and will continue to do everything necessary to protect our state and our people. The U.S. President is absolutely right – this must be done not only in defense. Meanwhile, we do not slow down in diplomacy, in all our contacts with partners, so that negotiations do take place – the kind of negotiations that can truly bring peace closer. National security advisors are working – they had a conversation yesterday and there has been a lot of communication today as well. At their level, the military – the Commander-in-Chief, the General Staff – are working on the military component of the security guarantees for Ukraine. Now, each day carves out the contours of future security architecture for Ukraine. Weapons, funds, cooperation with partners, forces on the ground, in the air, and at sea. And every day, there will be new steps taken by partners to support Ukraine – I will have a lot of diplomatic work to do. I thank everyone who stands with us, with Ukraine.

Захищаємо наші позиції по всій лінії фронту і вже другу добу поспіль маємо успіхи на деяких надзвичайно складних ділянках на Донеччині – на напрямку Добропілля та Покровська. Зокрема, хочу відзначити підрозділи 1-го корпусу Національної гвардії України «Азов», підрозділи 7-го корпусу десантно-штурмових військ, підрозділи 38-ї окремої бригади морської піхоти імені гетьмана Петра Сагайдачного, а також підрозділи нашої 93-ї окремої механізованої бригади «Холодний Яр». Триває знищення окупантів, які намагалися просочуватись вглибину наших позицій. Є важливе поповнення обмінного фонду для України російськими військовими. Головком доповів також про дії наших підрозділів на Сумщині, Харківщині, Запоріжжі. Вдячний усім воїнам за стійкість. Засновуючись на політико-дипломатичній ситуації навколо України та знаючи підлість Росії, передбачаємо, що російська армія найближчими днями може спробувати посилити тиск й удари проти українських позицій з метою створення більш вигідних політичних обставин для розмов із глобальними субʼєктами. Фіксуємо пересування та приготування російських військ. Звісно, будемо протидіяти – якщо треба, то й асиметрично. Я попросив Головкома поговорити з бойовими командирами. Україна потребує міцних позицій та дійсно відчутної протидії ворогу. Дякую кожному нашому солдату, сержанту та офіцеру, які виконують бойові завдання та знищують окупантів саме так, як потрібно для впевненості України. Слава Україні!

Хороша розмова з Президентом Аргентини Хав’єром Мілеєм. Звісно, говорили про ситуацію в дипломатії. Поінформував про нещодавні контакти з партнерами. Наголосив, що наша позиція абсолютно чітка: Україні потрібні чесний мир і надійні гарантії безпеки. Хав’єр готовий докласти особистих зусиль. Дякую! Обговорили економічні успіхи Аргентини, передусім дерегуляцію та подолання інфляції. Привітав Хав’єра із цими важливими результатами. Україна зацікавлена у вивченні такого досвіду. Обговорили відповідну можливість. Зараз відносини між нашими країнами виходять на справді високий рівень. Ми детально про це поговорили. Технології, економіка, аграрна промисловість – багато є сфер для потенційної співпраці. Домовилися також відновити формат політичних консультацій між міністерствами закордонних справ наших країн. Команди активно працюватимуть, щоб вони відбулися вже найближчим часом. Також подякував Хавʼєру за участь у Міжнародній коаліції за повернення українських дітей. Будемо працювати разом з усіма партнерами, щоб усі українські дітки якнайшвидше повернулися додому. Узгодили наші наступні контакти. Буду радий бачити Хавʼєра в Україні.

Today, I have already spoken with the Prime Minister of Canada, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and the President of Lithuania. Later today, further talks with European friends are planned. I thank everyone for their support. An important conversation took place with the Prime Minister of India. Everyone is united by an understanding of clear facts. First – Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected. Second – issues concerning the war against Ukraine must be resolved only with Ukraine’s participation. Third – Russia must take the necessary steps to end this war. So far, Russia has not taken a single step. Today, Prime Minister Modi and I discussed in great detail the possibilities for influencing Russia’s position. I remember how the Prime Minister of India has said more than once that our time is not a time for war. And real steps are needed to make this a reality – peace is needed. Tomorrow will also be a day of our active communication with partners. At all levels, we continue to engage with the United States of America. The Office team, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and everyone needed for effective work – all are involved. And I thank everyone in Ukraine who firmly supports and strengthens the state’s position and our defense of national interests. We stand strong – all together.

Right now in Zaporizhzhia, our first responders, medics, police officers, and all services are working to help after a strike by Russian bombs. Air-dropped bombs on the city, on residential buildings, on the bus station, on one of the clinics. Unfortunately, there are casualties. Everyone will receive assistance. I thank every employee of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and all services for responding promptly and for always saving people’s lives, no matter the circumstances. Today, along the entire front line, in frontline communities, and in our border towns and villages, the Russians once again continued to take lives. No deadlines, no expectations work on them – they do not want to stop the killings. The only thing they are looking for is a way to kill Ukraine. We clearly understand the threats. All our partners just as clearly understand the threats. Everyone sees that there has been no real step from Russia toward peace, no action on the ground or in the air that could save lives. That is why sanctions are needed, pressure is needed. Strength is needed – the strength, first and foremost, of the United States, the strength of Europe, the strength of all nations in the world that want peace and stability in international relations. If Russia does not want to stop the war, then its economy must be stopped.

Продовжуємо активну нашу переговорну роботу з партнерами, щоб була спільна позиція заради надійного миру для України – дійсно реального миру. І якщо всі однаково будуть сприймати можливості та загрози, тоді вдасться досягти саме сталого миру. Вже багато підтримки, і це підтримка в нових умовах, коли озвучений дедлайн для Росії для припинення вогню. Бачимо, що росіяни на це не зважають – принаймні поки що не зважають. Сьогодні знову вбивства, російські обстріли. Більше сотні ударних дронів було в ніч на цей день проти України, ще протягом дня удари авіабомб, інтенсивні штурми на фронті, знову повітряні тривоги в наших містах, громадах. Наведу тільки один із російських злочинів війни на сьогодні. У Херсоні абсолютно свідомо скидом із російського дрону був поранений 13-річний хлопець. Йому надається допомога. Тобто триває російське полювання на цивільних у Херсоні. Це свідоме знищення життя. Наказів зупинитись російській армії не давали. Говоримо з партнерами заради реальних кроків. Більше десятка розмов було з лідерами та главами урядів.Я хочу подякувати сьогодні всім у світі, хто нам допомагає – допомагає завершенню війни.
