📚 CELPIP Reading is honestly one of the hardest sections to improve fast.A lot of students expect their score to jump after learning a few tricks, but Reading usually takes time because it depends a lot on your actual English level, vocabulary, and reading speed.A few things that genuinely help 👇1. Stop translating every sentence in your headIf you translate word by word, you’ll run out of time very quickly. Try focusing on the overall meaning instead.2. Don’t panic when you see unknown wordsCELPIP sometimes includes difficult vocabulary on purpose. In many cases, you can still understand enough from the context to answer correctly.3. Learn how to skim and scanYou are not reading a novel. Your goal is to find information efficiently. Read strategically, not perfectly.4. Pay attention to paraphrasingThe test almost never repeats the exact same wording from the passage. Correct answers are usually written differently.5. Build vocabulary over timeThis is the part many people want to skip. Reading articles, Reddit posts, emails, or even reviews in English regularly helps much more than memorizing random word lists.6. Be careful with trap answersSome choices look correct because they use similar words from the text, but the meaning is actually slightly different.7. Practice timing A lot of students can eventually find the correct answers, but CELPIP is also about speed. You need to get comfortable making decisions faster.8. And probably the biggest tip 👇Don’t expect Reading to improve in one week.Speaking and Writing can sometimes improve faster with strategy and structure, but Reading usually improves through consistent exposure to English over time. What’s the hardest part of Reading for you?
