One month before the presentation of the iPhone 17, Apple introduced its new flagship — the iPhone 17 Pro. At the same time, Google released the Pixel 10 Pro, and both devices quickly became the subject of comparisons, particularly regarding their cameras. Both companies adopted similar approaches to camera design: Apple eliminated the protrusion, making the camera flat and wider, while Google retained the horizontal arrangement of lenses with rounded corners.

The iPhone 17 Pro features three 48-megapixel lenses: wide-angle, ultra-wide, and telephoto. The Pixel 10 Pro is also equipped with three lenses: a 50-megapixel wide-angle, along with 48-megapixel ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. Both devices deliver high-quality images, and the choice between them comes down to personal preferences.

Google actively utilizes post-processing, making photos sharper and more detailed, although this can sometimes appear unnatural. Colors on the Pixel 10 Pro are generally brighter and more saturated, while the iPhone maintains a more natural look. In some cases, the iPhone offers more detail, thanks to its telephoto lens. It is also worth noting that Apple has long held an advantage in video recording, and the latest models continue this trend with professional modes and features such as ProRes RAW and cinematic mode.

Google has improved video recording capabilities and captures good shots in everyday situations. Additionally, the new 18-megapixel front camera of the iPhone features automatic rotation for landscape shooting, adding convenience for selfies.

In terms of AI-based features, Google significantly outpaces Apple. The Pixel 10 Pro includes Camera Coach based on Gemini for capturing the best shots, supports voice editing in Google Photos, allows adding yourself and others into the frame, enhances video quality, captures images with 100x zoom, and utilizes the Magic Eraser tool to remove unwanted objects. While the iPhone 17 Pro may eventually gain similar capabilities, it currently lacks this level of AI functionality.

Regarding pricing, the Pixel 10 Pro starts at $999 for the model with 128GB of storage. For 256GB, the price is $1099, effectively placing it at a similar price point to the iPhone 17 Pro, which starts at $1099. Both devices offer a high level of photographic capabilities, and the choice depends on individual user preferences.
