All rumors about the iPhone 17 have been gathered in one article today. Earlier this year, Apple released the budget iPhone 16 priced at $599, which was an addition to the iPhone 16 series and replaced the long-standing base iPhone SE. With the iPhone 17 lineup already introduced, many are curious if the iPhone 17 will be released soon.

iPhone 17: All rumors today

According to several authoritative sources, Apple plans to release the iPhone 17 model in 2026. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported back in May that the company would launch this model in the first half of next year as part of its annual base iPhone upgrade strategy. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg also confirmed that the iPhone 17 will debut in early 2026. In April, information surfaced that the device is already close to the trial production stage, although the source notes that its release will occur in May, not February, when the iPhone 16 was launched.

Regarding the display, the Korean publication The Elec reported that Apple plans to release the second generation iPhone 17 with the same OLED panel as the iPhone 16. This panel first appeared in the iPhone 14 and is part of Apple's efforts to use cheaper components based on established production lines. The iPhone 16 features an OLED Super Retina XDR display with a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1, providing deep blacks and bright whites. The maximum brightness is 800 nits, with peak brightness up to 1200 nits for HDR content. The resolution is 2532 by 1170 pixels at a density of 460 pixels per inch, slightly lower than the iPhone 16.

As for the processor, according to Gurman, the new phone will use the same A19 chip as the iPhone 17. It is manufactured using an improved 3-nanometer process and has six cores: two high-performance and four energy-efficient. The graphics processor has five cores, allowing for improved performance and energy efficiency. The phone will also feature an updated display engine, image signal processor, and a 16-core neural engine, ensuring better artificial intelligence performance and high-quality gaming.

According to sources, the iPhone 17 may feature a new design with a Dynamic Island. This will differ from the iPhone 16, which has a notch at the top of the display similar to the iPhone 13 and 14. Since the iPhone 16 is based on the design of the iPhone 14, it is possible that the iPhone 17 will be inspired by the iPhone 15, which received a Dynamic Island and a more rounded body. However, this information still needs to be confirmed, as it contradicts data about the use of an OLED panel similar to the previous model.

Looking to the future, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the third generation "e" in the series will be released alongside the standard iPhone 18 in the first half of 2027. This is related to Apple's plans to launch the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e in the spring, allowing the company to delay the release of the Pro models and switch to a staggered launch schedule.
