Soon we will learn about the new lineup of iPhone 17 from Apple, and the latest rumors have intensified just weeks before their official debut. This review gathers the most interesting news and predictions about the upcoming models.

Rating: The Best Features Rumored for iPhone 17

One of the biggest innovations will be the iPhone 17 Air — likely the first true redesign of the smartphone in recent years. Tests have already showcased the lightweight Galaxy S25 Edge from Samsung, and its weight is indeed impressive. Rumor has it that the iPhone 17 Pro will be available in a new orange color — a more muted tone with a copper hue, adding freshness to the device.

Regarding photography, all models are expected to feature a 24-megapixel selfie camera, providing high-quality video and photos for FaceTime. The new models will also increase RAM: the Pro and Air will have 12 GB compared to 8 GB in the standard models. This is expected to enhance gaming performance and AI capabilities.

As for the battery, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumored to have the largest capacity — around 5000 mAh, allowing for over 33 hours of usage — even longer than the previous model. The standard iPhone 17 is expected to be 6.3 inches, matching the size of the iPhone 17 Pro.

All four models will likely support a 120 Hz refresh rate with ProMotion technology, making usage even more comfortable. The Pro models may feature a dual-material design with more metal and less glass — increased damage resistance will be an added bonus.

The rear camera will be even more powerful: the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to have an updated 48-megapixel telephoto lens for better zoom capabilities. New chips are also anticipated: the standard models will have the A19, while the Pro will feature the A19 Pro, with improved speed and energy efficiency.

To enhance screen durability, the iPhone 17 Pro and Air may receive an anti-reflective coating that makes them more resistant to scratches. Additionally, the Pro and Air are expected to have horizontal camera bars — a design that looks more modern, though it may raise questions about functionality.

Apple is likely to abandon titanium in favor of lighter aluminum for the Pro models. The new models may also feature Apple's C1 modem, which does not support the fastest mmWave 5G networks. The Apple logo may be shifted lower due to the new design with a larger camera module and dual-material body.

Regarding internal components, all models will receive a Wi-Fi 7 chip for better network performance. The Pro models may be equipped with a mechanical diaphragm for light adjustment — a feature popular in DSLR cameras, but with questionable utility in a smartphone.

Recording video in 8K will only be possible for the iPhone 17 Pro, although this feature is unlikely to become popular due to large file sizes and storage limitations.

As for prices, an increase is possible due to higher tariff fees in some countries, particularly in China. Another new color — black, white, light blue, and light gold — will be available for the iPhone 17 Air, although their appearance seems less appealing. Due to space constraints, the new iPhone 17 Air will have only one camera, without an ultra-wide lens.

The standard iPhone 17 is expected to have only 8 GB of RAM, while other models will feature 12 GB. Considering the rapid development of artificial intelligence, this may be insufficient for some users.
