iPhone 17 to Feature New 24MP Selfie Camera

Renowned analyst and insider Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the iPhone 17, scheduled for next year, will feature an entirely new 24 MP front camera.

The new sensor will provide greater detail and clarity in images. With the higher resolution, photos will maintain their quality even when cropped or enlarged, offering more flexibility during post-processing.

In addition to the increased resolution, a new six-element optics system is expected, which will also positively impact image quality, particularly regarding the correction of various aberrations and distortions, as well as color accuracy in low-light conditions.

It is worth noting that the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to be the first iPhone with Face ID technology under the display panel. This innovation will allow for a reduction in the size of the Dynamic Island to a traditional round hole typical of Android smartphones. Additionally, rumors suggest that this will be the last Pro model to feature a display cutout - the iPhone 18 is anticipated to have the first fully under-display camera.
