Microsoft has started rolling out a revamped image editor Paint for Windows users participating in the Windows Insiders program (Canary and Dev channels).
Visually, one of the main changes is the support for a dark theme. By default, the editor's design will adapt to the system settings, but users will be able to customize the theme color separately.
The image zoom in the new version can be adjusted with greater precision. The standard preset values remain, but sizes can also be adjusted using a slider or by entering a specific value. Finally, there is a button that adjusts the image to fit the window size.
The "Image Properties" dialog has been adapted to the style of Windows 11 and the new application background, and other dialog windows have also been redesigned to match a unified design. Additionally, hotkeys have been added to the toolbar for more convenient keyboard use.
So far, there is no information on when the new version of the application will be available for users of the stable version of Windows 11.
