Google is preparing a redesign of the "Weather" app for Android.

One main tab instead of three.

The Android app "Weather" was last updated in 2021 when Google transitioned all standard services to the Material Theme style. Now, the company is implementing Material You, so the weather informer is also set to receive another significant update soon. A screenshot of the fresh version has already appeared online.

In the current version of the app, the interface features three main tabs ("Today," "Tomorrow," "10 Days"), which can be scrolled for additional information. In the new version, there will be one general tab.

This tab will retain the traditional location search area and the mascot Froggy. Below, there will be an hourly forecast for the day, followed by a 10-day forecast. The color scheme will likely adapt to the system theme.

There is currently no information on the timeline for the "Weather" update for Android. The update may be launched after Google I/O, which starts on May 10.
