Anthropic Launches Claude Opus 4.5 with Enhanced Coding and Agent Capabilities

Anthropic has announced the launch of the Claude Opus 4.5 model, which it describes as "the best in the world for coding, working with agents, and using computers." This update significantly enhances the capabilities of previous versions in performing everyday tasks such as deep research and represents a step forward in the development of artificial intelligence systems.

According to feedback from testers, Claude Opus 4.5 is capable of performing tasks that were previously unavailable to Sonnet 4.5. The model handles ambiguity better and can reason about trade-offs without external assistance. It offers improved visualization, logic, mathematical skills, and coding ability compared to earlier versions.

Along with the Opus update, Anthropic has refreshed its applications and platforms. New tools for working with long-term agents have emerged, as well as the ability to use Claude in Excel, Chrome, and on desktop computers. Users can now engage in continuous conversations without limitations, as the model automatically summarizes previous context. This means that conversations can last indefinitely.

Access to Claude for Chrome is open to all Max users, and the beta version of Claude for Excel is now available for Max, Team, and Enterprise users. Additionally, Claude Code is available in the desktop application, and with the Opus 4.5 update, the model can create more accurate plans and execute them more attentively. It can ask clarifying questions at the beginning of a conversation and generate a plan that the user can edit before execution.

Claude Opus 4.5 is already available across all Anthropic applications and via API. Special restrictions for Opus have been lifted for Claude and Claude Code users with access to this version. For members of the Max and Team Premium programs, usage restrictions have been tightened, allowing for more flexible use of the model.
