"Everything Everywhere All at Once" Becomes the Most Awarded Film in History

The super hit of last year, "Everything Everywhere All at Once," has already received 158 awards, according to experts from IGN. Thus, it becomes the most awarded film in history. And this is before the Oscars ceremony, where the film is nominated in 11 categories.

The film's tally includes all awards from major critic organizations and ceremonies, such as the Golden Globe, SAG Awards, Indie Spirits Awards, and others. Ratings from various websites were not considered in the count.

Previously, the record belonged to "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," which managed to secure 101 awards at the time. "Everything Everywhere All at Once" surpassed it both in the number of nominations and in the number of wins.

The publication acknowledges that in the 20 years since the release of "The Return of the King," many new awards have emerged in the film industry. However, even if awards are counted using a special scheme considering this factor, Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert's fantastic comedy still surpasses Peter Jackson's fantasy in all parameters.
