Valve Expands Steam Store Pages to 1200 Pixels

Valve is expanding the Steam store pages as part of a new update that is being released today. Now, many pages will have a width of 1200 pixels instead of 940. The company chose this size because it allows for more content to be displayed on the screen without complicating navigation or overwhelming the page.

If your browser or application window is already wider than 1200 pixels, Steam pages will automatically adjust to the screen size. This ensures proper display on tablets, Steam Deck, and mobile devices. Valve even tested the update on an old small iPod, where the pages work, although the text and elements become quite small.

This update is part of the improvements the company has implemented earlier, including in July — the Steam Trailer Player update, which added a more adaptive interface and improved video processing for the new player.
