My name is Sean Hollister, and I have been an unofficial reviewer of portable gaming PCs for The Verge since 2022, when the Steam Deck and similar devices caught my attention. I also helped launch this site at various times.

Recently, I spent a week testing the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X — the first portable Xbox consoles created in collaboration with Microsoft and Asus. We are launching a new initiative where subscribers can ask any questions about the hottest gadget releases, stories, and events. And I didn't want to leave this opportunity just to my colleague Jen.

So, I will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) exclusively for subscribers this Thursday, October 16, at 9 AM Pacific Time / 12 PM Eastern. I will try to answer as many questions as possible. After all, it's you, the subscribers, who support my work!
