Hideo Kojima first announced his collaboration with Xbox to create a new game in 2022. Last year, he presented a teaser titled OD along with parts of the cast. Now we have the opportunity to better understand what OD is, thanks to a new three-minute teaser trailer that confirms Kojima's promise to create a unique and captivating gaming experience.

In the trailer, the character played by Sophia Lillis opens a red door and lights candles, some of which resemble the children from Death Stranding. Outside, it is raining, and mysterious sounds create an atmosphere of fear, emphasizing the horror nature of the gameplay: the character trembles with fear. The trailer also showcases early work on the Unreal Engine, carried out by Kojima Productions with support from Microsoft.
Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed that the game's development is progressing well. According to him, Microsoft is assisting with the visual and technical aspects: "OD is a bold, unique game created by this studio. We are actively supporting the production process, working on the visual and technical details on Unreal Engine — both the elements on screen and behind the scenes."
