Microsoft is once again raising prices on its Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles in the USA. Starting October 3, the price of the Xbox Series X will increase to $649.99, up from the previous $599.99. The cost of the Xbox Series S will rise to $399.99 from $379.99. The company explains this increase as a result of "changes in the macroeconomic environment," which essentially means the impact of tariffs. Prices for consoles outside the USA remain unchanged. Similarly, the price of controllers and headsets in the USA will not change. The price increase means that the Xbox Series S will go up by $20, while the Xbox Series X will increase by $50. The special 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition Xbox Series X will rise to $799.99, which is $70 more than before.

Microsoft is once again raising prices on Xbox consoles in the USA

Earlier in May, Microsoft had already raised prices on its Xbox products worldwide, increasing the cost of consoles, controllers, and headsets. Over the past six months, the price of the Xbox Series X in the USA has risen by $150, and the Series S by $100. The special 2TB Galaxy Black version of the Xbox Series X debuted nearly a year ago at a price of $599.99 and now costs $799.99, marking a $200 increase over the year.
