Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Will Resemble Pixel Watch

It seems that significant changes are coming to accessory design.

Reliable insider Ice Universe shared interesting details about the new generation of Galaxy Watch. According to him, Samsung designers were inspired by the Pixel Watch and decided to switch to curved screen glass. This change will make the accessory resemble Google's gadget.

Apple, for example, has been using curved protective glass in Apple Watch for several generations. This is not only about smoother lines and streamlined design. The curves at the edges simplify gesture control - it's simply more convenient to swipe when your finger doesn't hit the edge.

However, the rounded glass is more fragile, and an accidental encounter of your wrist with a door frame could be costly. The same goes for a simple drop of the gadget on a hard surface.

It is still unclear when Samsung intends to release the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup. The Watch 5 series debuted in 2022 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 in late summer, so the new generation can also be expected closer to August.
