PlayStation Launches New Parental Control App

PlayStation launches a new app PlayStation Family for iOS and Android, which helps parents monitor their children's gaming time on PS5 and PS4 consoles. While there are already parental control settings available directly on the console, this app offers additional conveniences for setting limits and tracking children's activity in games.

According to blog reports, the app includes a range of new features such as activity reports, enhanced game monitoring, and the ability to approve requests for additional gaming time. Additionally, the app provides a step-by-step guide for setting up a child's account, allows parents to control spending in the PlayStation Store, and set privacy settings.

Similar parental control solutions are also offered by Nintendo and Microsoft for iOS and Android, enabling parents to manage gaming time on Nintendo Switch and Xbox.
