The VTuber agency VShojo shuts down as most of its talented performers leave due to financial issues and unpaid debts.
VShojo, a VTuber agency that positioned itself as "talents first," has announced its closure. The CEO of the company, Justin "Gunrun" Ignacio, shared this news on social media X, taking full responsibility for the decision made.

Earlier this week, the agency faced criticism after Ironmouse, one of the most successful VTubers, announced her departure due to the lack of a $500,000 donation for charity, as well as unpaid personal funds. This led to a mass exodus of talents: 12 out of 13 creators announced their contract termination, with some citing unpaid salaries.
Ignacio acknowledged the company's financial difficulties: "We raised about $11 million to support a talent-focused model in VTubing. However, despite our efforts, the business could not generate sufficient revenue, and resources were depleted." He also confirmed that the funds raised by Ironmouse for the Immunodeficiency Fund were spent by the company. The co-founder noted that he attempted to secure additional funding but was unsuccessful, taking responsibility for this decision.
The head of the company expressed deep apologies to the talents, employees, and the entire community that believed in the VShojo brand, emphasizing that they did not deserve this situation.
