Meta hires two Apple executives in artificial intelligence

Meta has announced new appointments in the field of artificial intelligence, attracting specialists from Apple. After Meta recruited one of Apple's leading AI experts with a compensation package of $200 million, the corporation hired two more of his colleagues. Mark Lee and Tom Gunter have joined the Meta Superintelligence Labs team, which is focused on developing advanced artificial intelligence systems. Earlier this month, Ruiming Pang joined Meta, who previously led Apple's core models team. Apple is currently trying to retain engineers by offering them salary increases; however, these offers still significantly lag behind what Meta provides. The losses in Apple's team indicate internal instability, and the company is considering utilizing external models to enhance Siri and other Apple Intelligence features.
