The renders showcase some significant design changes for Apple's upcoming flagship smartphone, expected to be released later this year. The most noticeable change is the transition from the Lightning port to USB-C, marking a major departure from Apple's proprietary connector used in iPhones and most of the company's accessories since 2012.

This decision may be linked to pressure from the European Union, which insists on a universal charging standard for all smartphones and mobile devices. However, even in this case, Apple plans to introduce some restrictions regarding compatible cables.

Another change is the curvature of the edges, both on the glass and the metal frame. The glass is slightly curved at the edges, creating a smoother transition to the frame. The frame itself is also more rounded than before, reminiscent of the design of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro and the new MacBook Air.

The camera bump on the back panel has become thicker, indicating that Apple may have updated the system with new sensors or optics. The module arrangement remains the same as in the iPhone 14 Pro, with three lenses and a LiDAR scanner.

On the side panel of the phone, some changes can be noticed. The volume controls appear to be capacitive buttons rather than physical ones, as rumored. The mute switch also looks redesigned: it has become smaller and more rounded in shape.

It is also noted that the device's body will be slightly more compact, likely indicating a reduction in the screen bezel while maintaining the same 6.1-inch diagonal. Dynamic Island is still present and looks the same as in the iPhone 14 Pro.

These renders may not reflect all aspects of the final design, but they provide an idea of what to expect from Apple's new smartphone. We look forward to more details soon.
