Nintendo reveals that the Super Mario Odyssey team created Donkey Kong Bananza

Nintendo has officially confirmed that the team that worked on Super Mario Odyssey was also involved in creating Donkey Kong Bananza. This was revealed ahead of the game's release, scheduled for July 17. Over the past nearly eight years since the release of Super Mario Odyssey, this team has been focused on developing new projects. Nintendo has a reputation for nurturing and developing talented developers who work on franchises such as Kirby, Mario, and Zelda, ensuring a high level of game quality.

Super Mario Odyssey was one of the most successful projects on the Nintendo Switch, which is why Donkey Kong Bananza is in capable hands. According to Cameron Faulkner from The Verge, this new game has a unique identity, but the development team has incorporated elements of the 3D Mario platformer into the first 3D Donkey Kong game since Donkey Kong 64.
