MacRumors Show: Discussing iOS 26 Beta 2 Features

In the latest episode of the MacRumors show, changes and improvements in the iOS 26 Beta 2 are discussed. Apple has enhanced the interface, making it clearer and more user-friendly. In particular, the Liquid Glass buttons in the Control Center now appear sharper due to increased background blur, making them easier to recognize. Additionally, the transparency reduction settings have been improved for even greater convenience.

Changes have also been made in Safari: the button for creating a new tab in management mode is now located in the lower left corner, returning to the layout from iOS 18. Furthermore, in compact tab mode, "back" and "forward" buttons are now available for easier navigation.

Apple Music has added a Live Radio widget, providing quick access to radio streams directly from the home screen. A new ringtone option — "Alt 1" in the Reflection category — is also available in the sound and haptic settings.

The description of low power mode has been updated for clarity. It now clearly states that it reduces background activity, processing speed, refresh rate, brightness, and limits features such as 5G and iCloud synchronization.

The standard background introduced with iOS 26 has been updated: it is now animated in response to the spatial photo feature, giving the home screen a more dynamic look.

The possibility of Apple acquiring the AI search startup Perplexity is also discussed, along with new purple and green color options for the upcoming iPhone 17.
