Microsoft has released a new interface update for Xbox Home, allowing users to pin apps and games to the console's home screen. These changes are aimed at enhancing the personalization of the Xbox interface and include the ability to hide system apps, as well as reducing the number of recently used programs and games displayed in the respective section.

Now users can pin up to three recently launched apps or games that will remain in the foreground, even when other programs are opened. There is also the option to completely hide system apps, such as Settings and Store, from the Xbox home screen. To hide even more recent programs and games, users can reduce the number of tiles to four instead of the standard nine.

All these new personalization features are available in the Xbox Dashboard update, which was released in June and is now being rolled out to users. Changes can be made in the Settings > General > Personalization > Games and Apps menu.

Microsoft began testing these features last month, and this week the update is rapidly being deployed to all Xbox users.
