Samsung patents smart watch with built-in projector

They will be able to project video directly onto their wrist, just like in sci-fi movies.

The Smartwatch Samsung Galaxy with a built-in projector has appeared in patent documentation, reports Wareable. The images show a device that can project information from the gadget's screen directly onto the user's wrist.

According to the patent description, the laser projector will consist of lenses and LED emitters arranged in an arc shape on the side of the device. It will be able to display the main screen and project images and videos.

There will also be an option to adjust the projection diagonal on the wrist and the brightness of the image. Thanks to the built-in trapezoidal distortion correction technology, the image will always be displayed correctly. In simpler terms, the user won't need to keep their wrist in a specific position.

This is great news for smartwatch enthusiasts. Devices have hardly changed over the past few years, and a built-in projector could shift this trend and become an interesting experiment. However, the registration of a patent does not necessarily mean it will reach developers. Often, revolutionary projects do not even get a working prototype.
