There is a quicker way. Just press the key combination for the desired icon size:
Ctrl + Shift + 1 (huge);
Ctrl + Shift + 2 (large);
Ctrl + Shift + 3 (medium);
Ctrl + Shift + 4 (small).
Using the Scroll Wheel
This method is useful when fixed sizes don't fit and you want to change icons within a wider range. While on the desktop, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and scroll the mouse wheel in either direction.
How to Change Icon Size on macOS Desktop
Right-click on an empty space on the desktop or click with the left mouse button while holding the Control key, then select "Show View Options."
