More Android Games on PC Thanks to Google Play Games Update for Windows

Google has announced that all Android games will now be available in Google Play Games on PC by default - developers will no longer need to manually add them to the catalog. This is expected to significantly expand the library of mobile games that can be played on a computer.

The beta version of Google Play Games was launched on PC back in 2022, and since then the company has gradually expanded the service's capabilities. Now Google is introducing a badge system that indicates how well a game performs on a computer. The "Optimized" label means that the project meets all quality standards, while "Playable" indicates that it simply meets the minimum requirements. If a game receives a "Not Tested" badge, it can only be found through search.

Additionally, Google wants to add more native computer games to Google Play Games for PC. Currently, there are over 50 such projects on the platform, and later this year the company will open a program for all developers who wish to port their games to the service.

The company is also expanding the platform's accessibility: whereas it previously offered only a limited catalog of games for devices with AMD processors, now the entire library will be available on such laptops and desktop computers. Furthermore, Google is collaborating with PC manufacturers to integrate Google Play Games directly into the Start menu on new devices. This month, the service will introduce support for multiple accounts and the ability to launch several games in different windows simultaneously.

The full release of Google Play Games for PC is scheduled for this year.
