New iPhone SE and iPad Air Launch Early Next Year

The smartphone will resemble the iPhone 14.

Apple is set to release a new iPhone SE with support for Apple Intelligence AI features and several models of iPad Air "early next year," insider Mark Gurman reported. The company will also showcase an updated Magic Keyboard for the new tablets.

In terms of design, the new iPhone SE will resemble the iPhone 14: in particular, it will have a similar display with a notch. This means that instead of a Touch ID button, the new model will feature a Face ID sensor. Most likely, the device will be quite powerful, as Apple Intelligence only works on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, as well as on all iPhone 16.

As for the iPad Air, it is expected to have some "internal changes," but Gurman did not share details. The updated Magic Keyboard will be designed for the 11-inch and 13-inch versions of the tablet and will feature capabilities that were previously only available on the iPad Pro keyboard.

The latest model of the iPhone SE was released in March 2022. The iPad Air lineup was updated in May of this year.
