Xiaomi sold nearly 95% more tablets than last year.
Researchers from IDC analyzed the tablet market in the second quarter of 2024 and reported a sales increase of 22.1% compared to the same period last year. If 28.2 million devices were shipped in 2023, this year the number has reached 34.4 million.

Xiaomi showed the best growth results: this year it sold 94.7% more tablets than last year. In quantitative terms, this is about two million devices in 2024 compared to one million in 2023.
Huawei's figures are also impressive: it sold 2.3 million tablets this year, which is 40.3% more than in the same period last year. The biggest contribution to this came from the Huawei MatePad 11.5S.
Among the top three manufacturers, the sales growth ranged from 15% to 18%. Apple sold 12.3 million tablets, Samsung - 6.9 million, and Lenovo - 2.5 million.
When considering the five leading brands, market shares are significantly highlighted only for Apple and Samsung - their devices account for 35.8% and 20.1% respectively. In Lenovo, Huawei, and Xiaomi, the market share varies between 5.8% and 7.3%.
