Samsung sent the Galaxy S24 Ultra to the stratosphere to showcase its camera capabilities.

The photos turned out to be out of this world. And they won't please flat-earthers.

Samsung has uniquely decided to showcase the capabilities of the Galaxy S24 Ultra camera by adapting the smartphone for aerial photography.

During this unusual experiment, Samsung attached four smartphones to a special frame, which was suspended from stratospheric balloons.

The hydrogen-filled stratosats ascended to an altitude of nearly 37 kilometers, from where photos were taken with the smartphones. At that height, the curvature of the Earth is already visible.

There were several flights conducted over various notable areas in the western United States: Southern California, Las Vegas, the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and the Grand Canyon. In total, over 150 shots were taken with varying focal lengths.

Once the shooting task was completed, the hydrogen was released from the stratosats, and they descended with parachutes. The special frame ensured that the smartphones did not break during the descent.
