Google and Samsung are not the only ones implementing the so-called magic eraser with artificial intelligence into their services and devices. Now it is also available on Windows computers. Microsoft has added a similar feature to its "Photos" app.

The tool is called Generative Erase. It also removes all unnecessary details from images in just seconds. Developers demonstrated its functionality on a photo with a dog, removing the leash and bystanders in the background. The result is truly impressive. The option uses AI to fill in empty spaces with pixels that match the surrounding area.
Microsoft also announced that it has started transferring AI photo editing features to Windows 10.
Generative Erase is already available to participants of the OS beta testing program. The timeline for a mass launch has not yet been announced.
