Perhaps we will finally see the new camera design.
The editors of MacRumors have gathered data from insiders about the prototypes of the base iPhone 16 currently being tested at Apple. Based on this information, they created mockups depicting the design and colors of the prototypes.

So far, these are early test models of the iPhone 16 (internal name - DeLorean), with only one remaining before the release - but it will likely be refined based on the rejected concepts.
The yellow prototype is the earliest. They began testing the Action Button on it, placed the volume buttons in one block, and presented the camera module as a modern reinterpretation of the iPhone X. In the pink version, the camera design was reverted to a contemporary style (but with a vertical lens arrangement reminiscent of the iPhone 12), and the volume buttons were separated.
The black version, the last one created, differs from the pink one with an enlarged Action Button and an additional capacitive Capture Button with a pressure sensor. The purpose of the latter is still unknown, and it may be removed from the smartphone if issues arise during testing.
From the front, all three versions are indistinguishable from the iPhone 15: they feature a Dynamic Island cutout and frames of approximately the same width.
It seems that the main visual differences boil down to the design of the camera module: options in the style of the iPhone X and iPhone 12 are being considered. Which one do you prefer?
