Marvel's "Daredevil" Relaunch Now in the Hands of "Loki" and "Punisher" Creators

The previous team was let go by the studio - their work had little action and brutality.

The series "Daredevil: Born Again" from Marvel Studios, currently undergoing a creative overhaul, has a new showrunner. The project is now led by Dario Scardapane ("Jack Ryan," "The Punisher").

The directors of the reboot are Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, known for their indie thrillers, as well as their work on "Moon Knight" and the second season of "Loki."

Previously, filming of "Daredevil" was halted due to a strike by writers and actors. During this break, the executives reviewed the completed material and were dissatisfied with it. The show had little action, and the main character only appears in his superhero costume in the fifth episode. Therefore, they decided to rework it. However, some completed scenes and episodes are still planned to be retained.

The original series about Daredevil, starring Charlie Cox, became one of the longest-running Marvel TV shows. In the mid-2010s, three seasons were released on Netflix. All of them were distinguished by action scenes and brutality. The studio wants to return to the former atmosphere and tone.
