"Better Call Saul" ranks higher than "Breaking Bad," and among the new entries is "Beef."

The critics at The Hollywood Reporter have selected the 50 best modern series. The authors of the list considered only English-language shows that had at least one episode released after December 31, 1999.

The publication's staff acknowledges that the list may not be perfect, and many popular projects could have been left out. However, with around 600 shows released each year, it's simply impossible to evaluate them all. Therefore, they do not rule out revisiting the list in the future.

Currently, the top spot is held by the series "Mad Men." The second and third places also feature dramas - "The Sopranos" and "Succession."

The top 10 includes "The Wire," "Reservation Dogs," "Better Call Saul," "BoJack Horseman," and others. From the shows released this year, only the comedy-drama "Beef" made it to the ranking.
