PlayStation 5 Pro Could Be Twice as Powerful as PS5

The author of the YouTube channel RedGamingTech shared new information about the technical specifications of the anticipated PlayStation 5 Pro. According to him, the console will achieve a massive performance boost.

Indeed, the APU of the new model may contain 96 Render Output Units, which is 50% more than the PS5. The total performance will be 23.04 teraflops (compared to the junior version's 10.28 teraflops). The console is also expected to deliver smooth rendering of games in 4K with ray tracing enabled.

Expected specifications of the PS5 Pro:

• 30 WGP RDNA 3 or 3.5;
• GPU frequency of 2.7 GHz;
• CPU frequency of 3.6 GHz;
• 16 GB of RAM;
• Enhanced SSD;

• TSMC 5 nm or 4 nm.

The exact release date of the PS5 Pro is still unknown, but previously, reputable insider Tom Henderson reported that the console is expected to launch at the end of next year.
