User Data from "LitRes" Leaked Online

It's time to change the password for your account.

User data from the "LitRes" electronic and audiobooks service has leaked online due to a breach. This was highlighted by the Telegram channel "Information Leaks," and later confirmed by company representatives.

A total of 3,083,408 rows containing users' names, surnames, email addresses, and hashed passwords have been made publicly available. The most recent entry is dated August 3, 2023. The source claims the full dump contains 97 million rows.

"LitRes" advises users to change their account passwords and also to update them everywhere else where the same or similar password was used. "In the event that any unauthorized actions are taken with users' accounts, all of them will be canceled by the service upon the client's request," the company added.
