Essentially, it is an equivalent of "iCloud Photos." It operates on the same principle: automatically uploads images from the last 30 days to the cloud and makes them available on all Apple devices. The only difference is that "My Photo Stream" retains full resolution on only one device, while reducing the quality of images on others.

The company recommends all users transition to the current photo library, that is, to "iCloud Photos" (where only 5 GB is available for free) within the next two months. And just in case, re-save all their photos into it.

To do this on an iPhone, you need to open "Photos," go to the "My Photo Stream" album, select the desired images, and press the "Share" button, then save them in the desired folder. On a Mac, you simply need to drag the photos from one application to another.
