Cameo Launches TikTok Integration to Let Creators Sell Personalized Videos
In an effort to regain its popularity, celebrity greeting app Cameo has launched a new TikTok integration that allows U.S. creators to offer personalized Cameo videos directly to their fans through the short-form video app.

What the TikTok–Cameo Integration Does
The integration enables creators to sign up to provide personalized video messages within TikTok, simplifying the purchase flow for fans and helping creators increase earnings. For existing Cameo talent, the feature opens access to TikTok's larger audience; for TikTok creators, it adds a monetization option alongside tips, virtual gifts and subscriptions.
"Cameo videos regularly go viral on TikTok," said Cameo CEO Steven Galanis. "TikTok talent delivered its strongest year yet on Cameo in 2025."
Why This Matters
- Creators can offer personalized shoutouts without leaving TikTok, improving discoverability and conversion.
- Fans benefit from a more seamless purchasing experience and access to celebrity content within the app they already use.
- The move taps into TikTok's massive creator base and the growing creator economy, where influencer-driven services drive engagement and revenue.
Context: Cameo's Recent History and Media Trends
Cameo became widely known during the COVID-19 pandemic and was once valued at $1 billion, enabling fans to request personalized celebrity videos. The company, however, faced a difficult 2024 with a valuation drop of more than 90% and regulatory and financial challenges, including a $600,000 Federal Trade Commission fine. Cameo also experimented with new products like Candl, a birthday planning app, to diversify its offerings.
