Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the Yalta European Strategy meeting. The main thing:
▪️About the victory plan. In September, the president will show it to Joe Biden, and later to Kamala Harris, Donald Trump and Congress.
"There are not many points there. Each of them will depend on the decision of Biden, not Putin. I cannot give a 100% guarantee that this will stop Putin. But it will make Ukraine stronger."
▪️About the Kursk operation. According to the president, russia began rapid offensive actions without serious success. Currently, 40000 of its soldiers are stationed there, and there are plans to deploy 60000-70000 troops.
Before the operation, the ratio of the use of shells in Donetsk was 1:12 in favor of russia, now it is 1:2.5.
▪️On the use of long-range weapons. The President talked about it with the US Secretary of State and the head of the British Foreign Ministry.
"I hope that after our conversation, there can be no more unanswered questions qabout why Ukraine needs sufficient long-range transport. [This is necessary] to change the course of the war and force russia to seek peace."
▪️On negotiations regarding the downing of missiles and drones by allies. The president mentioned that so far only belorussia has distinguished itself with such actions. Zelensky also confirmed Iran's supply of ballistic missiles to russia.
"If allies shoot down missiles and drones in the skies of the Middle East, why is there still no similar decision on shooting down russian missiles and Iranian Shaheds in the sky of Ukraine?"
▪️The President emphasized that Ukraine needs additional air defense systems, armed forces — equipped units.
"We have been talking with our partners for months about staffing teams. But, to be honest, we are still far from fully fulfilling what we agreed on a long time ago"
