Budanov held a working meeting with the ex-commander of the US Special Operations Forces, Admiral William McRaven
Admiral McRaven is an experienced and wise military leader who participated in the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf. He has a key role in the planning and implementation of many outstanding US special operations, including the mission codenamed Neptune's Spear (2011), when Osama bin Laden was eliminated.
William McRaven is the author of a number of books on the theory and practice of special operations, on his experience in the US Army, on leadership and self-discipline. His book "Make the Bed. Little things that can change your life... and maybe the world" became a New York Times bestseller and has been translated into a number of languages, including Ukrainian.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation at the current stage of the russian-Ukrainian war, and also exchanged views on the state and prospects of regional and global security. William McRaven expressed his deep support for Ukraine and our nation in its quest to liberate the temporarily occupied Ukrainian lands from the russian invaders.
