Serbian Economy Minister Rade Bashta called on Belgrade to implement sanctions against the russian federation as soon as possible. As Bashta notes, due to the non-introduction of sanctions on Belgrade and on the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, in particular, considerable pressure is being exerted.
"Our country is already paying a heavy price for refusing to impose sanctions against russia, and it is becoming more and more intolerable. As the Minister of Economy, I cannot accept how much pressure is being put on the president, Aleksandar Vučić, and we remain silent.
That is why I support the introduction of sanctions against russia, I support President Vučić in protecting the state and national interests, and I fully trust him. Therefore, I ask the government of Serbia and all ministers to speak on this issue," Bashta's post reads
